Electronic Study
Aides And Courses
Years
ago I started with appearing on many
radio shows, enjoyed that, then went to have my own radio talk show
as well as producing many cable TV shows.
I then turned to writing, thinking
I could reach more people, and do it more easily for myself.
I've now reconsidered and think
that our educational services have failed us so miserably that fewer
and fewer people can read, understand and use written material.
We are moving more and more into the TV world, and the world of
"electronic games."
No matter how dumbed down a kid
might be from the terrible educational system, he seems always to
have an interest, and plenty of attention, for the latest video or
electronic game. There is not much teaching within those
games, at least not much teaching of any moral values or skills of
use in life. You might learn how to kill a dragon, or jump
five miles up in the air to come down in the enemies back yard --
fun, I suppose, but . . .
One of the most intensive research
project I've ever engaged in was to study the state of study in
America. I believe I have to total, never-before revealed,
explanation of why "study" is in such a sad state.
Click Here for that very detailed explanation.
What if I could go back to my
earlier years of public speaking -- and avoid the problem of trying
to deliver information in written form. I do have, now, some
100,000 web pages, and I am getting about 10,000 different visitors
every day -- so this is going well.
But, there are MILLIONS of people
who need and could use this information if they would learn it.
It has been a losing battle -- I put up more and better pages of
useful data on health, but the people who need this information,
more and more of them, can't read. There are more
"non-readers" being created than "readers" in today's society --
people like me have been slow in recognizing that dismal fact.
I've come to that realization, now, however. For my own
business survival I've had to develop "teaching aides" that bypass
the usual reading skill level in society.
The answer, for now, is electronic
study aides and electronic courses.
So, I've ventured off on a brand
new career -- developing electronic study aides, and full-fledged
electronic courses. I have an
entire web site devoted to these
courses. You register there as a student (free) and then just
pick and choose as to which courses, or which "study aides" you want
to take. There is a "Learning Management System" that holds
all these courses, accepts student registrations, and delivers these
electronic courses. The Learning Management System (LMS) also keeps
track of your progress through courses, keeps track of scores and
allows you to leave and return to the exact point in the course from
which you left.
Here and there, on this web site,
you'll find links that go directly to some particular study aide, or
electronic course. You can click on those links, leave this
web site, go to another (mine also) and start on a study aide or
electronic course.
Some of these courses are
presented without your need to "register." When you click on
the icon representing a course, you may go directly to that course
without passing through the "Learning Management System" and the
registration there. This whole resource is in a state of
constant improvement. Eventually there will the THOUSANDS of
small electronic study aides available, for much of the information
on my 100,000 pages. This web site is the place where these
are first started.
These study aides and electronic
courses are designed to greatly enhance the efficiency of your
learning process. There are even courses on "How to Study."
Here is
the
image you will see in many places on this web site. Hold your mouse
over the image to read what the image links to -- or it will also
have been described in the text of the page. These
images serve as instant links to a particular Study Aide or
Electronic Course.
When you visit the web site where
the courses are administered, you will be invited to "register" as a
new student. There is no charge for registration. Most
of the study aides on this web site don't yet take you through the
registration process. That is in progress for these study
aides.
This registration allows the
"Learning Management System" at that site to keep track of any
courses or study aides you take. You will be able to look back
in your personal record of courses or study aides you have done, see
what your scores are, if there are scores involved. The Learn
Management System (LMS) also allows you to work on some course or
study aide for a short while, leave the web site, return later, even
weeks later, and start right where you left off.
